L’ovedbaby was founded with a deep commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and environmentally responsible clothing for little ones. The brand’s journey began over two decades ago, inspired by a personal experience that shaped its mission. A month before the founder became pregnant with her first child, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 46 years old. This life-changing event led to extensive research on health-conscious parenting choices, including the benefits of breastfeeding. Struggling to nurse discreetly in public, she designed a nursing cover for personal use, which later evolved into a business. Five years later, L’ovedbaby was born, eventually expanding into a full line of GOTS-certified organic cotton baby clothing.
L'ovedbaby's Mission
L’ovedbaby originally crafted its Cotton Basics Collection™ using safe, minimally processed conventional cotton, free from harsh chemicals, flame retardants, and chemical softeners. However, after further research, the brand recognized the significant benefits of transitioning to GOTS-certified organic cotton. This shift not only ensures a safer option for babies and the environment but also protects the well-being of cotton farmers, who are often exposed to harmful pesticides in conventional farming. By eliminating these carcinogenic chemicals, organic farming supports the health and longevity of farmers—many of whom are parents themselves.
